One fine day, we had an idea to launch a portal which can help spread AIDS awareness, and help people (specially youth) get sensitized towards leading a AIDS-free life. To start with, we were a bit confused about the name we should give to this portal. Our final two shortlisted choices were:

1. Kaundom.com
2. AIDSroko.com

And to be honest, we were very confused between the 2. kaundom sounded funky, very youthful, more like a mystery twist to condom, by spelling it as kaundom….but then AIDS is not only about condoms. And we asked some of our friends, whom we felt will help us make a wise and informed decision, to let us choose one of these 2 names….and unanimously, the answer was AIDSroko…so here it is!

We’re kinda new to social activism…so we might take some time to get started. To figure out how best to reach out to our target audience. Today, we’re just happy that at least, a start has been made.

Due to time constraints, the first few steps would have to be taken online….which would perhaps mean facebook, twitter, linkedin, orkut….any such ideas would be welcome..
